Bess M. Massad Olmstead


Attorney

Bess focuses her practice primarily on financial services litigation, with an emphasis on disputes before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as complex civil litigation and business disputes in state and federal courts. She represents individuals and organizations of all sizes in every stage of litigation, arbitration, regulatory enforcement defense, and recruiting/transition matters. Bess also serves as a FINRA Non-Public Arbitrator.

Throughout her time in law school, Bess worked in various litigation roles, including as an Appellate Student Clinician under the supervision of a nationally recognized Professor and Appellate Lawyer. Bess also served as an extern for the Honorable Administrative Judge Diane Palos.

Bess is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and an alumna attorney member of the Magnificat Blue Streak Barristers. An active volunteer with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s 3Rs program, she helps connect local high school students with civics education, mentorship, and career guidance to strengthen their understanding of the U.S. Constitution and inspire future legal professionals.
