Ethan Clark
Attorney
Ethan specializes in complex civil litigation and business disputes, representing individuals and both large and small companies in a wide variety of matters. These include disputes relating to commercial contracts, non-compete, non-solicit, and confidentiality clauses, tortious interference, misappropriation and theft of trade secrets, fiduciary and shareholder duties, commercial and residential landlord/tenant leases, and promissory notes. Ethan represents clients at all stages of litigation in state and federal courts across the country, at both the trial and appellate level, as well Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations, American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitrations, and other alternative dispute forums.
While Ethan’s practice covers all areas of business litigation, he has extensive experience in the financial services industry where he represents both firms and advisors with respect to customer suitability cases and advisor transition related disputes, including successfully achieving the granting and the denial of injunctive relief for his services industry clients. In addition, he also assists financial services clients with investigations by the SEC, FINRA and the CFP Board, U5 negotiations, transition counseling, expungements, buy/sell and practice sale agreements, whistleblower filings, and registering firms with the Protocol for Broker Recruiting.
While not a native of Cleveland, Ethan tries to give back to the community by volunteering at brief advice clinics for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, being a Big Brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and as a board member for the Monroe Street Cemetery Foundation. Ethan is well respected by his peers and colleagues in the legal community and has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for 2025 and 2026 and rated as a Super Lawyers Ohio Rising Star for 2025 and 2026.
