Rachel focuses her practice on a wide array of litigation-related matters, including pre-filing investigation and negotiation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
During her time at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Rachel received various awards for her litigation skills, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both of CWRU’s required legal writing courses, as well as for her work as a certified legal intern in the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, where she drafted successful motions and briefs and argued an appeal before the Eighth District Court of Appeals. She also received the Clinic’s Samuel Archie Award for demonstrating excellence in client relations and served as the executive copy editor for Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine.
Before joining Matasar Jacobs, Rachel practiced at The Pattakos Law Firm LLC, where she assisted in drafting successful motions and briefs on substantial issues and appeals in contentious cases, including Williams v. Kisling, Nestico, and Redick (Summit C.P. No. CV-2019-09-3928), Parra v. Jackson (Cuyahoga Appeal No. 109516, 2021-Ohio-1188), State v. Elko (Cuyahoga Appeal No. 109082, 2020-Ohio-4466), and Jaycee Wamer v. University of Toledo, 27 F.4th 461 (6th Cir.2022).
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys staying active, attending concerts, and spending time with her friends and family.
